Laser Marking Machine Manufacturers in Singapore

The laser marking industry has proliferated over the last 10 years, and laser-marking systems are now available from many suppliers worldwide. Almost every industry requires traceability for an increasing number of manufactured products and components, and laser marking has solved many of these requirements due to the inherent flexibility, speed, reliability, and ease-of-use of laser systems when compared to conventional marking techniques. Although many different laser types and several different laser wavelengths have been and are being used, fiber lasers in particular have seen a dramatic increase - almost all marking systems producers have at least one fiber laser-powered model in their range. The benefits of Fiber laser technology are well known and well documented, but this article will review some additional less well-known background, and examine the benefits of fiber lasers for the particular case of laser marking.

Our products range from the higher end spectrum to cater to those who require high precision and accuracy to the more affordable range where speed and quality are preferred. We pride ourselves not only in providing machines of superior quality but also in prompt after-sales service which to us occupies no less in importance than the sales itself.

We are the manufacturer and authorize distributor for Universal Laser Systems, Vision Engraving & Router Systems, Kite Laser Systems, Signvec Engravers, Router, Laser Systems and Cutting Plotters, Digital Solvent Inkjet Colour Printers as well as engraving materials for South East Asia.
The largest in the VLS platform line, the VLS6.60 has a wide and deep engraving area that can accommodate a variety of materials. The VLS6.60 offers a choice of six laser cartridges ranging in power from 10-60 watts.

Universal’s Professional Series of CO2 laser systems provide an unbeatable combination of high power (up to 150 watts using dual lasers), three platform sizes and an advanced, materials-based print driver that delivers consistently excellent cutting and engraving results.

Versa Laser functions like a true plug and play computer peripheral. It has a friendly, materials-based print driver that eliminates complex power, speed and materials calculations. Affordable, easy to use and easy to install, Versa Laser is a great first step to expanding into the laser market. Versa Laser™ can transform images or drawings on your computer screen into real items made out of an amazing variety of materials… wood, plastic, fabric, paper, glass, leather, stone, ceramic, rubber… and it’s as easy to use as your printer.

Industrial Engraving Materials Manufactures

Signvec manufactures a wide range of engraving materials which you can experience the color of engraving when using engraving equipments. There are several methods you can take and the three most popular methods of coloring for using engraving equipments are oxidizing, paint stick and paint filling.

Generally oxidizing process uses a mild acid to blacken the brass or aluminum surface where the engraving is performed. Since the oxidizing is not selected on where it works on the engraving equipment, it can be used only on metals that already have some kind of coating which is already removed through the engraving process. Brass has a lacquer coating or a similar finish and the aluminum is usually coated with lacquer or it can be anodized. Remove those finishes with engraving equipment which has diamond graver, burnishing or rotary cutter by which you can blacken the exposed areas with the oxidation solution without affecting the other areas of the plate.

Oxidizing substance is best applied with the cotton swabs as opposed to a dauber and always remembers to keep the engraver free from oil or fingerprints. Apply oxidizer soon after the engraving process is completed, so the full effect of the oxidizer can be applied in the process. Applying color to the work of engraving equipment using a paint stick can be done only on rotary engraved plates which have a sufficient depth level. This is usually done using paint through a paint stick that looks like a large crayon and they come in a variety of colors and are easy to use.

To remove the skin of the paint stick just shave the end of the stick, then rub the stick across the engraving surface as if using the crayon until all the letters are filled and then wipe off the excess paint with a paper towel as well. Both alcohol and paint thinner work well in removing any excess film that does not wipe away easily, but you will find it much easier to let the paint dry overnight and later wash it with warm water. Paint sticks are convenient and durable, but they don't have smooth gloss that you'll get from actual paint.

Paint filling offers the best options for coloring the work of engraving equipment when it comes to materials, colors and applications. Metals and rigid plastics generally work best with fast-drying, oil based enamel with mineral spirits for cleaning. Soft plastics and other materials may be damaged by caustic solvents, but latex or acrylic paints work best with alcohol or water used for cleanup. Aside from the paint, you will also need a brush, an old phone book or newspaper and stiff pieces of tough paper closer to the size and weight of your average business card.

Each time you need to make sure that the engraving is smooth and have enough depth in holding the paint on its surface. When using engraving equipments, you'll require coloring options. The right method depends on the material and depth of the paint. Coloring gives the engraver more to work during the creation of an attractive sign with eye catching lettering and it is always best to have options.

High speed CO2 and Laser marking Machines

Laser marking is a method of leaving marks on an object with the help of laser technology. The marks are made without the use of inks or tools coming in contact with the surface. Hence there are no issues involving the replacement of ink or bit heads.

The application of laser marking is mainly done on specially designed materials and some paints like laser-sensitive polymers and novel metal alloys.

One of the subsets of Laser marking known as Laser Engraving is the technique of using lasers to engrave an object.  Sometimes, both these terms are confused with each other as some machines can be used to carry out both the techniques.

Various methods to permanently mark on an object are Embossing, engraving, embroidery, Indenting, coining, embossing, stencil, liquid metal jet, dot peen, electro-chemical etching, cast, forge or mold.
Of these, coining, embossing, and indenting are common methods for high speed marking of parts like data tags, keys, security seals and small parts specifically for man readable data. Scribe, Dot peen and Laser marking are not much effective of keeping up with the high volume production methods.

Signvec International Pte Ltd & Signvec Technology provides a wide range of laser and rotary engraving, cutting and marking high end machines for those requiring high precision and accurate end products.
One of such machine is the Kite Laser Machine known as CO2 Laser Marking Machine. It is a high speed CO2 cutting and marking machine. This machine deploys imported American CO2 radio frequency laser and high-speed scanning galvanometer system. It is collocated with highly qualified optic components. The laser electrical source is very stable and the complete system is fully autoing controlling. It can withstand long time’s continuous running apart from being very reliable, precise and fast in its performance. This enables it function well for mass manufacturing on a production line.

The CO2 Laser Marking Machine features a full sealed laser optic system which is maintenance free and can be used at installation without any adjustment. It has an original radio frequency laser which has a life of over 20,000 hours. Its fast and precise performance produces firm, clear and permanent labels. Also it offers a high performance-price ratio. It is compatible with AUTOCAD, CORELDRAW and PHOTOSHOP etc. under Windows interface.

Its application ranges to the majority of non-metal materials like cloth, mirror, stone, buttons, paper, leather, bamboo, organic materials, epoxy resin porcelain, PMMA sheet plastic etc. Apart from the non-metal industry, CO2 Laser Marking Machine is also very useful in the fields of rag trade, woodworks, package glasses, medicines, electronic components, drinking package, craftworks and porcelain industry.

The CO2 Laser Marking Machine is available in 3 models: SCD-10A/SCD-10AL, SCD-30A and SCD-50A. The laser wavelengths of all these 3 models is same i.e. 10640nm. Also, all 3 models feature equal labeling speed of up to 7000mm/s. The Repeating Orientation precision of 0.003mm is also same for all the 3 models. These models basically differ in their laser power, label scope, average power consumption, cooling style, dimensions, gross weight and power required.
